Once a source of enchantment and rare alchemical resources, the Duskwoods have fallen into disarray and hostility, becoming a "haunted" forest that shuns outsiders.


Current Situation

The death of the Barony’s appointed Warden of the Duskwoods has resulted in the forest’s magical balance being disrupted. The spirit of the land, a mystical being that manifests as a rabbit, no longer acknowledges the authority of the Protectorate. Without a Warden to mediate, the forest’s magic has turned hostile, warping its nature and creating an environment fraught with danger and mystery.

The woods are now plagued by eerie phenomena. Travelers report ghostly lights appearing in the darkness, luring the unwary deeper into the forest. These lights are said to drain the strength and life of those who follow them, leaving behind only lifeless bodies. Whether these stories are true or merely the product of frightened imaginations, they serve to dissuade most from entering the Duskwoods.
