Mutants and Masterminds - Ghostbusters Inc

In my quest to destroy everyones childhood, i am willing to run a Mutants and Masterminds-game with the background of the Ghostbusters.

4-5 players, premades are done and a few points are ready so that players can persionalise their characters. Characters are also not connected with the originals. They work for them.
This game bases on "what if".


"After the attack on New York City in 1984 by a deity named "Gozer the Gozerian", the public has
been made aware of supernatural activities. Calling out for Protection against what went bump
in the night, the surviving members of the Ghostbusters (Raymond Stantz died in the battle
against Gozer) were drafted to create national-wide squads.

It is now 1995, 11 years and the Ghostbusters Inc, after their success in the United States of
America, have been called in to aid in other western nations. Initial attempts to create their
own Supernatural defense-forces by other states were less than succesful and have led to several
outraged attacks by the forces they meddled with. Ghostbusters Inc, albeit not exclusively on the
market, is still on the rise with more than 12000 periphially or active members. Retaining the name
of Ghostbusters, they have outsourced to also take care of psychics, witches, werewolves, vampires,
mutants and other, supernatural, threats.

In a recent Interview founding Member and CEO Peter Venkman confirmed that a Ghostbusters Inc had
signed a defense-pact with Great Britain and new members were being deployed at the moment."

i dont know. whenever. it is not a particulary long scenario. It is also made to help people who play M&M for the first time

Update: Since the Party befriended a named Character last game, this character is now open to be played: Cedric O'Hara is about 40 years old and, as far as he knows, the Last Druid of Great Britain.
Deceiving the Ghostbusters to come to his hometown, he attempted to subtly aid them into taking down a Demon-Spirit which had haunted the area since the Roman Invasion and which had claimed the lives of countless druids who had devoted their life to keeping the spirit bottled up.
The Ghostbusters, with technology Cedric does not understand, first managed to deciver his involvement and, in tense negotiations, then decided to aid the desperate man.
The Ghostbusters captured the Ghost, ridding Cedric of a generation-long curse.
Partially due to gratitude, partially because he now, finally, can travel away from his hometown without impedement, would be a grateful "independant contractor" for the Ghostbusters Inc, if they were to take him along.

Also: Everyone will in-between sessions gain 4 PowerPoints to be used (except for Cedric, who is already made with them). If you wish to gain a Power, it must be technologically based in some way and acknowledged by the DM.
